The new version of smartphone 4G Wiko embeds 32GB and shines more brightly in the night. With also performances on the rise ?

After Fever 4G Wiko offers 4G smartphone Fever Special Edition which costs 50 euros more expensive. What are the main differences? The special edition has 32 GB of memory instead of 16 GB and the Android 6.0 system changes (Marshmallow). Wiko has also made an effort on the back of this novelty that is now available in ash wood finish, asphalt or paprika. It is the latter that we have received and if the plastic is required, all proves pleasant to the eye and grip.

5 inch HD display correctly
As Fever 4G, the Fever Special Edition features a 5.2 inch display with IPS technology and a high resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Brightness is revised downwards (378 cd / m² against 450 cd / m²) but still passable. Even finding the contrast ratio (1260: 1), however, remains a bit higher than average. With its high resolution, the smartphone screen book generally satisfactory display.

Where it spoils seriously, this is at the octal-core processor Mediatek MT6753 1.3GHz, less powerful, and despite an improved graphics chip (Mali T720 instead of T624), is struggling to manage the definition however low the screen. If navigating the Android 6.0 interface proves sufficiently fluid (solid 3GB of RAM are not strangers), it should not count use the smartphone with 3D games like Real Racing 3 or Asphalt 8. with the test Epic Citadel Moreover, the display rate falls from 24 to only 18 frames per second when the processor heats up. One small consolation, the overcoat Wiko has the "Smart My Left Page" rather pleasant, which allows access from the home screen quickly to contacts, favorite apps to four and a wire news. To do this, simply make a slip of the finger to the right.

A very average endurance
Side endurance, not joy because this special edition loses an average of 1:30 autonomy from the Fever 4G. The result is satisfactory communications (about 14 h 30 min) but the smartphone holds only 5 h 45 min to our versatile self test (sequence aligning multiple uses such as surfing the Web, viewing photos, reading videos, etc.), a result well below average. It will not require too much nor too long, this model, under penalty of being out of power before the end of the day.

Finally the Fever Special Edition is little better than the Fever 4G for taking photos and videos. The rear sensor of 13 megapixels produces images just correct outside but which prove too smooth and precise. The only significant point is the speed of autofocus. Same treatment inside that turns complete blur if the ambient light is too low and the flash is not activated. As for the videos, they are certainly captured in 1080p but the result was marred by a jerky and distorted image.
