Test Apple iPhone 7

Summary Taken in hand before our nearest test. After months of the usual rumours and calculations, iPhone 7 and 7 More are finally revealed. Those which pawed the ground to have an iPhone seals and a better autonomy will be satisfied. But those which counted on catch helmet will be disappointed. We could not pass that a few minutes with iPhone 7 without being able to test its sealing. This new smartphone Apple brings its batch of improvements, some expected since one good moment. Most outstanding is of course the disappearance of the catch coughs up and the new button of reception which integrates technology Forces Touch and request a small time of acclimatization.

The new color black of jet is splendid, giving to this iPhone 7 of the airs of obelisk. Remain to see whether it will not be loving with finger marks.

Innovations to be had at the head

1- Size and the catch in hand: iPhone 7 gets the same catch in hand as iPhone 6s with an identical screen 4.7 inches. 

2- According to Apple, the flagstone Retina HD is 25% more luminous than the model of last year. The technology 3D Touch is found which produces a light pulsation when and the pressure maintains presses on the screen.

3- A static button of reception: from now on, the button of reception is fixed, it is not pressed more physically, a little as on the Motorcycle Z or OnePlus 3. It is sensitive to the pressure, which means that the applications can take into account 3 pressure levels. It is not any more one button in a strict sense and it takes a few times to be accustomed there.

4- Tight: iPhone 7 is tight with water (IP67) and dust, like are already several models from Samsung and Sony (IP68).
5- Finished the catch coughs up: Apple really removed the catch coughs up. In the place, the new telegraphic ear-phones EarPod connect with the Lightning port via an adapter delivered with the smartphone. The brand with apple proposes also new ear-phones without wire, AirPod, which join automatic iPhone 7. Our first impression is rather good, with a satisfactory sound in spite of the ambient noise of this showroom.

6- New camera: iPhone 7 preserves the sensor 12 mégapixels but adds to it a larger opening and an optical system of stabilization of image. We noticed that the camera is a little more protuberant than on the 6s. Apple incorporated a second sensor in the iPhone 7 More which plays the part of a teleobjective of 56mm. Models like V20 of LG, P9 and Honor 8 of Huawei propose also this system with double camera.

7- New frontal camera: it passes from 5 to 7 mégapixels and integrates also the stabilization of image (it is not about an optical system). 

8- Stereo loudspeakers: iPhone 7 receives a second loudspeaker which gets a stereo effect. They are laid out at the two ends of the device.

9- Autonomy: Apple announces 12 hours of autonomy in navigation 4G (iPhone 7 More should hold 2 hours more). As usual, no information on the capacity of the battery. 

10- A faster processor: according to Apple, the new processor A10 Fusion 64-bit quadruples heart is 40% faster than its predecessor (A9). Two hearts are devoted to the performances while the two others are you with “the effectiveness” in order to preserve the battery. Graphics are even more powerful, in particular for the games. With the fact, Super Mario arrives on iPhone 7.

11- A more comfortable storage: 32.128 and 256 Go. Colors: black of jet, black chechmate, gold, pink gold and money (the jet black is available only into 128 and 256 Go).

IPhone 7 and 7 More is available in précommande and deliverable to count starting from September 9th over September 16th. iOS 10 will be available on September 13th.

Small more camera

The passage to a larger opening (f1.8) must let pass 50% of light in more through the objective to 6 elements. That profits with all the stereotypes and in particular with those in low light. Photography under these conditions becomes paramount on the smartphones whereas the users share more and more images via social networks like Instagram.

The new processor of treatment combined at a speed of higher execution should bring iPhone 7 to the level of its competitors at Samsung, Sony and LG which praise their performances in low light and of many manual controls. The optical stabilization of image is an important option. Only iPhone 6s Plus was equipped with it last year. IPhone 7 equipped with this function should produce clearer photographs even if there is the shake.

A new flash with 4 LED 50% more luminous than that of iPhone 6s should produce more luminous stereotypes and let us tons more natural. IPhone 7 manages Live Photos and the format raw thanks to iOS 10. And it is necessary to keep in mind that iPhone 7 More has an additional advantage with the presence of a second sensor with teleobjective.

Can one go there?

Difficult to decide definitively for the moment. In hand, iPhone 7 resembles the 6 and 6s much, but the announced key improvements (autonomy, performances, sealing, and the camera) could make the difference.
